Every "Charlie" tour will probably instinctively begin on Hollywood Boulevard.  One this page, I've highlighted some of the "Charlies" you'll see along and just off the boulevard itself.   The Charlie painted on a building just to the left here is north on Highland from Hollywood.  The mural below right is just off the boulevard to the south, down around Gower or so.  The bronze Charlie, below middle left is part of a full figure out front of the museum across the street from the Roosevelt Hotel.  The bronze plaque and the bronze seated statue are both part of the Roosevelt Hotel itself. (Update June 2005: the bronze statue is no longer in the Roosevelt's lobby.)  And finally, Charlie's star is on the corner of Hollywood and McCadden.  If you walk down Hollywood, though, keep your eyes open.  You'll see Charlies on signs, on trims around marquees, you name it.  Also located here are two of the theatres that once hosted Charlie premieres, Grauman's Chinese and the Egyptian.

The Roosevelt Hotel on the corner of Hollywood and Orange is also the home of the first Oscars Ceremony in 1929.
